I’m Maya Ladva

I’m the lead counsellor here at Change & Grow Counselling Services, based in Mamabear Herbal Clinic, 47 Capel Road, Oxhey Village, WD19 4AE. I offer face to face, online, telephone, and walk & talk counselling to support you through whatever challenges life is bringing your way.

I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, but you don’t have to go through it alone. My role is to walk alongside you, offering a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.

My Personal Journey

My decision to become a counsellor came from my own experiences of seeing how powerful it can be to have someone truly listen without judgement. Life can present us with unexpected challenges, and for many years I saw how friends, family, and members of my community struggled in silence.
I realised how much difference it makes when people feel heard, supported, and understood. That realisation inspired me to train as a counsellor, so I could provide that same safe space for others to explore their feelings, make sense of difficulties, and begin to heal.

Counselling isn’t just my career, it’s my calling. Supporting people to rediscover hope, confidence and purpose is something I feel deeply passionate about.

My Approach to Counselling

I work as an integrative counsellor, which means I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” style of therapy. Instead, I tailor my approach to each individual client, drawing on a blend of proven therapeutic methods:

Identifying and reshaping unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour.
